A beautiful kingfisher plays dead as he lies perfectly still on the palm of a human hand. The adorable little bird is then gently weighed and measured by a conservationist, remaining motionless throughout the process. At the end of the ringing session, which is done periodically to monitor the birds in the area, the turquoise-feathered creature is free to go.
